The closing study days of the ANR SCARCYCLET project “Scarcity and recycling of materials for the energy transition” will take place on June 24 and 25, 2025, at the Saint Charles site in Montpellier.
This research project, coordinated by Francesco Ricci of CEE-M, brings together 21 researchers in economics, geology, and materials engineering to study the role of minerals in the energy transition (ET) and their recycling.
This multidisciplinary project contributes to advancing knowledge on the dynamic links between the material-energy and economic-societal spheres of the socio-ecological system, contributing to the debate on public policy.
- This program aims to develop analytical tools to
- quantify material flows and identify bottlenecks when recycling metals in the context of the energy transition;
design public policies for metal recycling for the energy transition.
