Abstract
In this study, I examine the economic and monetary integration of Central African countries by questioning the applicability of the initial theory of Optimal Currency Areas (OCA) in the African context. To this end, I analyze the synchronization of business cycles in the region, considered as an essential condition for ensuring the viability of this union.
