The FAST project aims to provide both a robust theoretical framework and strong empirical evidence on the effectiveness of public policies designed to support a large-scale transition towards pesticide-free agriculture.
The FAST Annual Meeting 2026 marked the project’s final annual gathering before the last phase dedicated to the synthesis and dissemination of its results.
Held on 11–12 June 2026, the meeting provided an opportunity to present a comprehensive overview of the research carried out within each of the project’s work packages:
- WP1 – Farmers’ Decision to Use Pesticides, presented by Elodie Letort (INRAE, SMART) ;
- WP2 – Value Chains, Territories and Collective Action, presented by Vincent Martinet (INRAE, PSAE) ;
- WP3 – Food Demand, Markets and Trade, presented by Adélaïde Fadhuile (Univ. Grenoble Alpes, GAEL) et Fabienne Femenia (INRAE, SMART) ;
- WP4 – Public Policies, presented by Alexandre Sauquet (INRAE, CEE-M) .
Cet événement fur aussi l’occasion de présenter une première synthèse transversale du projet en vue de sa restitution, prévue au cours du premier semestre 2027.
On this occasion, Julie Subervie introduced the overall structure of this synthesis, which received an initial external review from Tamara Ben-Ari acting as an independent expert and discussant.
The organisers would like to warmly thank all speakers and the FAST project partners for the quality of their presentations, the richness of the discussions, and their commitment throughout the meeting. This collective effort provides a strong foundation for successfully completing the final stage of the project.
